Lives for brown butter. Will talk about salt flakes longer than is polite.
About
A bakery with a goose problem
We bake cookies like we mean it and cakes like we have somewhere to be — which is usually right here, behind the counter.
Our cottage-whimsical mark — goose, cake, and a little celebration.
How we got here
One Sweet Goose began as weekend cookie trays for friends who kept “forgetting” their wallets. Demand got louder than our apartment oven. We rented a small kitchen, named the shop after the alley goose who supervised cooling racks, and settled into a rhythm of brown butter and buttercream.
Today we focus on what we can do well: thick cookies, soft layer cakes, and custom cakes that don’t look like they were printed by a robot.
Values we bake by
- Same-day cookies when the case says so
- Clear allergen labels — nuts called out every time
- Honest lead times for celebration cakes
- No mystery frosting — ask us what’s in it
